It’s Only 9.99 on Itunes: Attention Deficit

There are plenty of artist in D.C.. But no one cares, so Wale is our voice. Carrying your hometown, which is also the Nations capital, is a hefty task in it self. An even more difficult task is being rapper in an era where no one knows bad from good. Now, we can talk Attention Deficit or better yet, Wale, the Trumpet in a band that has yet to find its tune. Even if Wale is the best artist in the so-called “rookie class” , he’s not Drake the beautiful Saxophone (everyone loves the Saxophone).  So, he’s already at an unfair disadvantage, but nobody is making excuses. Attention Deficit sure is loud though and sounding better and better. Not to mention, Wale has been taking private lessons from the likes of, Mark Ronson, Pharrell, and Best Kept Secret. You ought to give the guy a chance.

Follow me now.  This is not ring-tone , do this dance, love women, fuck bitches, I used to sell cocaine, but now I’m into fashion, rap. It’s  more along the lines of actual music. Lets not get to far ahead of our selves, but this album truly had classic potential.Applaud Wale for that because it’s not easy. Most likely, when you here an upcoming artist debut CD like Wale’s,  it’s a compilation of songs that the artist didn’t put together and or had little authority in. In Wale’s case he was of course plagued by this because of the unsure internet hype that surrounds him. If you think Chillin’ was 100% backed by Wale, your sadly mistaken. Truthfully though, even that isn’t completely horrible. Now you have Pretty Girls with Gucci Mane, which would have been the same with our without him.A song that never reached its full potential.  Something tells me there was a label push behind that feature decision also. Neither of these tracks give you a true insight of what the album actually has in store .

Put in this Cd, press play, sit back, close your eyes, and vibe.  It’s almost a series of stories, some of which could of went left untold. Set your opinions about Wale aside and listen, you’ll probably enjoy it.  Wale may not of had the best shade, but he does deliver our prescription of Hip-Hop. There may be nothing to dance to or trap to, but there is indeed something to listen too. After countless hours of free music, Wale gives us something to buy that’s worth it.
